Vlaja was born in the Ukraine and moved to Connecicut when she was 6 years old. She stayed in Connecticut through her college years and then took some time off from school and went back packing through Europe, where she met her husband. They were married in Connecticut where their two sons were born. Just as their sons started school they moved to Mallorca Spain, a beautiful island in the Mediterranean. She lived there for 5 years and ran a moped rental business, renting motorbikes to tourists from all parts of the world.
Vlaja moved to Gainesville where her sons completed their school years. Her oldest son graduated from UF with a Masters Degree in International Business and her younger is presently pursuing his Anthropology Degree. Her husband's job takes him all over world as he works in oil exploration. Presently he is working off the coast of Malaysia. Vlaja worked in the Medical field for over ten years before deciding to enter Real Estate. She and her husband have lived in Haile for the last seven years and also have investment property in Palm Coast. She loves Florida, especially after living in the cold North East for so many years. Vlaja also enjoys living in Gainesville and spending weekends on the intercoastal in Palm Coast.
